Cock + Tail = Cocktail

Had a shot at the laundry bar awhile ago to celebrate my freedom from my sex coding mistress Miss Websphere Portal. Wanted to tryout the Porn Star or Scooby Snack cocktail but takada in menu, so ended up testing the Brave Bull cocktail instead. Mixed from Kahlua + Tequila, this sucker's taste dun really register with my taste bud. Dun like the sweet taste + alcohol taste... Maybe 1st time drink not used to the taste yet, but still prefer the Lemon Drop Shots taste which is sour, which sort of masks the alcohol taste. Anyway this sucker cost around RM18 (include tax), which is quite cheap (Atleast cheaper than the Irish Pub in Midvalley and comparable to the Pub in Sunway). As for effect, felt the effect not long after sipping it down. Lasted around 15+ mins then just felt sleepy. Maybe starting to get immune to the alcohol effect...

How do you measure a year?

Today's finally da day... Ironic a year ago, the same time I resign, only this time I'm getting "fired" due to excessive playing of Facebook, Friendster, Flickr and Google Gadget Super Mario (Ok, Ok, Bejeweled and Pacman too) during workin hours...

Sayonara IBM Websphere Portal, It been fun making up puns like RIP (Rest In Portal), May we never cross path again. Yet again, the future is hard to predict especially in tis farked up IT field but I'll be damned if I ever choose a career path anywhere near u again.

525,600 minutes, How do you measure, measure a year?
For those programmer freakz who say "How bout in LOC?", dun make me come shove ur laptop up ur @$$!

~A tale on raining

"What do you think about death?"

Just watch tis movie awhile ago. Flawed but enjoyable movie so I giving 7 outta 10. If you enjoyed Joe Black or City of Angels, you'll probably enjoy tis movie as well.

The movie, divided into the 3 sub stories, we see through the eyes of Chiba (Takeshi Kaneshiro) a Grim Reaper, ordinary people (a young lady, a yakuza and a old lady) living their not so special but important life. 3 cases handle by Chiba, as he watches these people through their last 7 days before deciding to "Proceed" or "Suspend" their death. Ultimately all 3 story is interwoven as one in the last story...

I have to admit the opening scene really got me by surprise. Most part of the movie have a happy tone to it thanks to the puns by Chiba. Make no mistake, while the movie itself is themed after the Grim Reaper, it spins a tale that focuses more on Life rather than Death. And its hard to justify the decisions Chiba made as we expected Chiba to "Suspend" their death but the final message is "It's not important if we die or life as long we live a life to its fullest". Many reviews actually view the 2nd tale on the yakuza as the weakest part of the story. I beg to differ. While the story may seen disjointed from the other 2 stories, this story I felt holds a hidden meaning that makes it shines just as bright the other two story.

Having said that, the movie ends rather in the open ended manner, leaving it as a test to the viewers on Chiba's decision to "Proceed" or "Suspend" the death of a old women whom lived life to its fullest. Another plus to the movie is the actress Manami Konishi. I agree with the comment of one of the guys who sat near me, at first glance she looks normal, but if you looks closer and longer, you will notice she is definitely beautiful.

Can't Hold On - Melee

Someone cries and it washes the street with tears
But when they are mine, they collect in my head for years
Rain or shine, still I'm standing on all I said
'Cause it's in my soul, carry on when the feeling's dead

[Chorus]
But if you can't hold on
Let it go and come back in your heart
And if you can't hold on
Maybe it's not time for you
And if you can't hold on
On your very last try
I'll be there in the morning to pull you through

Someone dies late at night and I never know
And even if I did, so afraid of the face I'd show
I feel trapped and enslaved to this dark contrast
Need a feeling now, give me something that's going to last

[Chorus]
I want to be free
I want to be free
I want to be free
Yes, I want to be free
I want to be free
Yes, I want to be free
Oh, I want to be free
Yes, I want to be free

You say you want to be free
But you can't fool me
You say you want to be free
Oh, but you can't fool me
You say you want to be free
But you can't fool me
You say you want to be free
Oh, but you can't fool me

Oh, and if you can't hold on
You can't hold on (Can't hold on)
You can't hold on (Can't hold on)
I'll be there, I'll be there

Oh, and if you can't hold on
Let it go and come back in your heart
And if you can't hold on
Maybe it's not time for you
And if you can't hold on
On your very last try
I'll be there so you know that you're not alone

Volkswagen Feel

Felt like an old rundown volkswagen car while jogging today. While jogin, a young chick with headphones jog pass me... After 2 laps lagging behind her arse, finally overtake her. Lead for a 1/2 lap before habis gas. She overtook me back and to add insult to injury, overclock me again on the next lap. Nia seng, see her jog selamba aje... I jog like 1/2 mati, *Sigh*... Now I think about it, I'm almost in my late 20's. My body should be at it's peak, yet tis kinda performance really make me wonder...

Chiak gah beh chiak

Ok, dunno y Dicksuke feelin like "I want to be a better man, etc... blablabla...". Anyway Dicksuke wanted to jalan jalan cari makan, so after wishing him a happy b'day (Thanks to notification by Facebook, btw dunno his b'day wat date also since Facebook no put date in da email), I try to con him into treating a true good fren aka me to a expensive dinner. Anyway after a brief lawyer buruk conversation in msn, we ended up setting a trip to Carey Island (My suggestion) to eat hoi sin (Seafood) on the weekend (today).

Been almost 4-5 years since I last ate there. Ate there last time with my relatives whom travel down from Ampang to Klang just to eat there... *Sigh* Dunno y KL ppl like tis, so like to travel *so* far just to eat some cheap food, I mean u count petrol + toll + travel time already cost more than the amount u save eating cheap hoi sin la. So without running from tis blog entry topic, instead of continue complaining about KL ppl (which probably need 10MB space), let me focus on trip to eat hoi sin at Carey Island instead...

The original plan was 5 monks, ehh.. I meant 5 males that are still single and still have no galfren to drive 17km to Carey Island to eat Hoi Sin. Since MFR already had plans to go *fishing* and Acapan didn't response well to eating with us monks, 3 monks good buddies which include Suke, Spelly n me end up making the trip. Suke offered to drive since he wanna showoff his lousy GP@$$ he just bought. Anyway the GP@$$ performance was simply, wat I call "calculating, calculating, calculating...". Sohai GP@$$, Suke took one wrong turn to hollan onli mah, need kau peh kau buu meh... Calculating, Calculating, Calculating... Calculating wat la? Beh hiao, mah kong beh hiao la...

Anyway we reach our destination, Kang Guan Seafood Restaurant just at the left hand side of the bridge to Carey Island. Sori, I no camera or camera on my phone unlike most ppl so can't take pix, so have to rely on simple plain broken english words to describe the dishes we demolished. We ordered:

  • Fried Lala - Dun like eat lala tat clam big. Spelly say ok la tis lala, since no other smell. I wondering he eat punya lala got wat other smell one.

  • Lala omelette - As suke commented, not sticky enuff the lala n the omellete. Need sticky onli when chew got the "WAH" taste mah.

  • Kong Pou Heh Koh - The sos taste very nice, but the heh koh abit hard inside. Prefers the hard outside and soft n tender inside heh koh.

  • XXX Vege - Forgot Chinese name for this sayur de, Typical vege u can see in chinese dishes anyway. So, so...

  • Asam Ang Choh Fish - Nice, the asam sos nice and the fish also yum yum...

We chiak gah beh chiak, ordered too much... When bill come, Rm 78... KL ppl will say "Walau eh, so cheap..." but since I Klang ppl, must act like one so I say "Walan eh, so expensive..." Just kiddin la, Rm 78 ok la, considering we have inflation (Thx to a particular Bodoh punya orang).

Built to Last Indeed...

Built To Last - Melee

I've looked for love in stranger places,
but never found someone like you.
Someone whose smile makes me feel I've been holding back,
and now there's nothing I can't do.

'Cause this is real, and this is good.
It warms the inside just like it should,
but most of all it's built to last.

All of our friends saw from the start.
So why didn't we believe it too?
Whoa yeah, now look where we are.
You're in my heart now.
And there's no escaping it for you.

'Cause this is real, and this is good.
It warms the inside just like it should,
but most of all it's built to last.

Walking on the hills that night with those fireworks and candlelight
You and I were made to get love right

'Cause this is real, and this is good.
It warms the inside just like it should,
but most of all it's built to last.

'Cause you are the sun in my universe,
considered the best when we've felt the worst
and most of all it's built to last.

Simply love how they mix the piano, the electric guitar, the bass, the drum and the vocals in this song, as if it's built to last...

Blablabal...

They say drinking won't help solve any problem, but I say it does temporary drown away the pain. Maybe it's work, maybe it's tis fuckin thurdays, maybe it's just me, but I feel fuckin depressed today. Went to walk around Piramid to take my mind of things and maybe have a little cocktail. Planned to have the cocktail when I was goin to leave the damn mall coz I dun wanna parade around the damn mall like a drunkard, but half way through the mall, I just can't take it anymore and went for one cuppa of booze, cocktail, alchohol, or watever... One thing I noticed after drinking was I'm still depressed but only depressed and drunk. I mean, think about it, "depress", it sounds so... so.. depressing... but u add the word drunk to it, "depress n drunk", atleast it sound goddamn cooler. After that cuppa of drink, I really feel less depress then before. Why? Becoz of the goddamn headache! that's y. The headache stops my goddamn brain from fuckin thinking, which really make me fuckin less depress. Yea, i feel like one of those Indian drunkards (Whom I often think are f*ckin idiots) that used to get drunk behind my old grandpa's sundry shop drinking samsu, but wat the heck, atleast it gives me a peace of mind of awhile.
