FF: Bodypump

Dear bloggie,

Just pumped with my toy for about 1 hour just now...

Anyway, starting to get used to going into new classes as a newbie already. Today's class lucky for me quite balance male and female (still more female). Go in the class de, see everyone going for the bar, weights and step. Since I dunno wat is the weight and how to assemble the "toy", I asked an random aunty lor.

Lucky the aunty was friendly enuff to teach me the "ropes". Taught me what kinda weights I should start of with (very light, 2 x 1kg weight at both ends, she say I can also try 2.5kg one but I opt light since dunno how my body enuff strength sufficient or not, better light and risk injury going too heavy), how to assemble the weights with the barbell and how to position my ankle when doing a squat and also wat kinda weights I should take (Need take a few since u need to change the weights inbetween different exercises and also some exercise just use the weight so if u take extra no need dissemble the barbell todo that exercise, I took around 6 x 1kg and 2 x 2.5kg).

She also tested my barbell bar and told me I took the heavy 6kg bar (I was wondering y so heavy one the bar), advice me take light one. I take my equipments and put behind the class (U know la, I dun like sitting infront one) but the instructor knew I was a newbie and ask me to come infront so I can see and learn better (I dun like infront cause it's hard to observe how other people are doing the exercise, since the instructor is facing u). At first, the barbell weight I used feel abit too light, body don't feel so pushed but after doing a variety of exercises for 30+ mins, wah... my muscles felt fatigue especially my quads and triceps. The exercise that I found hard for me was the lunge. KNN the instructor show me how to it in a easier style (pregnant women or beginner style) also I really felt my quads sore like crap, not even putting the barbell on also since was using the barbell as tongkat to assist the lunge.

When class ended, I really needed to push to stand straight as my quads were lembik. Overall enjoyable class (Not as enjoyable as Body Balance) but still need a few classes to familiarize myself with the exercises and find the proper weight.

#Update: Abs also sore now

Kitchen Disaster

Dear bloggie,

Now, I never EVER before wander into the cooking domain cept if you count cooking Maggi Mee as cooking. Since my daily lunch meals looks like unhealthy crap food (Tah Pau from outside one) and the pix of this Vege Fritatta at runnersworld.com looks so appetizing, I decided to go "Into the Wild" like I did yesterday when I tried something new for a change instead of waiting for the change to seek me.

OK, Main recipe is like tis:

Vegetable Fritatta

2 cups of vegetables - peppers, mushrooms, onions, spinach
3 eggs
1 tablespoon water
1/2 cup jarred bruschetta or chunky spaghetti sauce
1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese
Salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste

Video

Beat 3 eggs with 1 tablespoon water, add salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste. Set eggs aside. Give your frying pan a light coat of oil and then sauté the peppers, mushrooms, onions. After the peppers have cooked down, add the spinach. The spinach will cook quickly, and once it's wilted, pour the eggs over the vegetables and cook until set (about 20 minutes). Cut into wedges and top with bruschetta sauce or chunky spaghetti sauce. Garnish with a tablespoon of Parmesan cheese.

But I subs the vegetable with frozen vege which easily can get from the supermarket and already diced nicely de one (Lazy @$$, I know). Mushroom also I had problem finding in the supermarket, so I omit also.

So I started of by frying the frozen vege on the cooking pan. 3-4 Minutes, (Didn't cook 20 minutes coz the frozen one already cooked de one, label said boil 1 minute can eat de one), I crack the eggs into the pan. Here I noticed why the egg no nicely cover the pan like in the video one. Then "OMG WTF!?", I realized I forgot 1 step, need crack the egg into a cup with abit of water and beat it first before pouring it into the pan one! Tiu lor, I see the egg not watery enuff. So I decided to scramble the eggs with the vegetable instead. Add some onion (My mother got fried some onions de one). 4-5 minutes later, serve in a plate. Finally added some pepper, Parmesan cheese and spaghetti sauce. Then straight into my stomach.

FF: Body Balance

Dear bloggie,

Went for my 3rd class in Fitness First today. Gracing my menu today was Body Balance.

When I reached there, I went to kap kap around the studio first. I was like "WTF!?", when I saw onli got female in the studio. I was teetering between should "I go in?" or "Should I forget it and jump into the treadmill instead?". Before I knew it, the leng lui instructor already open the studio door and a blur moment ensue, next thing I know I was already in the studio with the yoga mat -_-'.

Not much people attending this late afternoon class, can count with hand. Then the instructor started talking bout 2-3 moves that will be doing later, not so sure the move is called wat though. After that, start lor. Alot of slow stretching moves, really stretch legs, hands, chest, core, back, etc... Not long after start, got another male masuk also, I sorta abit relief.

Since I first time see alot of the moves, have quite a hard time to mimic them. Lucky since the pace is not too fast one but rather maintain the pose long one, do wrong de can still got chance to correct it by quickly glancing over to see how other ppl do that pose. Half way through, my legs started to fatigue. I can run for 1 hour with no rasa of fatigue in my leg but not yet 30 minutes already fatigue in this class. Have hard time maintaining the leg position for the poses. Also I thought since all slow move, shouldn't sweat mah, mana tau sweat like gila. Must remember to bring towel next time de.

I really like the move where u cross u feet while lying down on the floor one. Target the abs if I heard the instructor correctly. Starting quite fun to do, but after doing quite a number of reps, wah really feel fatigue on the legs (cross feet 8 times for 1 rep) and the abs (need maintain leg from floor and need pull your upper body from shoulder up at end of each rep). The class ended with sort of a cool down where u just lying on the mat like dead people. The instructor dunno said a few things here (I think breathing control or body relax thing), but I was already in lalaland at that moment. Just glad to be able to laid there and no need stretch anything. Laid on the mat for quite some time till body relax again. Then the class ended after a brief meditation. Everyone close eye to enter like a mystical, zen-like, heighten senses trance state but I was like looking around, thinking wtf todo.

Overall definitely better experience than my 2 earlier classes. My body now feels very song, I meant after pulling ur body like a rubber bend then u release it, the tension all gone from ur body sure song la. Damage include my twisted right arm, probably will heal in 1-2 days. Currently no feel any soreness in body, dunno tomolo will sore like sh*t ar not. Will probably definitely go again next week for round 2.

Newsflash: Ong call Kit Siang Hysterical

Dear bloggie,

Wow... Just read from The Star, Ong call Kit hysterical over the PKFZ issue. Gotta agree though Kit Siang is indeed hysterical... Yet again, any Malaysian in the proper mindset would be too... RM 7.45 billion or RM12.5 billion, that's ALOT of tax payer moolah... Question is why isn't Ong hysterical over this issue too? As if "Tak kisah lah, onli RM 7+ billion mah" attitude. No "WTF, RM 7+ billion gone!?", "Siao liao lar, so many cash down the drain!", "Holyshit™Dota"...

Kit maybe hysterical, but Ong is definitely hilarious... Instead of lambasting Kit on "The Peoples" paper aka The Star, why don't he focus on his job instead (ie: Serving the people)?

The PKFZ report is out, yet why no action been taken? Police now days super efficient hard to believe investigation take so long, maybe Ong should try persuading the MACC and Police to focus more on issue like tis instead of crashing someone's anniversary dinner with 900 policeman and FRU...

But honestly speaking la, "A: Continue" or "B: Quit" Barisan National... If I had to vote, I would vote "C: Why bother"?

Just Crap

Dear bloggie,

Awhile ago, MFR fired tis question at me via msn...

chris said:
ur near death experience
got change u?

I actually wanted to blog about tis for quite sometime but my "bloggin" juice just was quite low lately so I didn't. But since MFR asked...

My reply is: It probably changed me as much as your soul searching Euro backpack vacation changed you.

For starters, I'm one car poorer. Soon to be another car poorer when I need sell my @$$ to the bank to get a loan for a new car. My insurance record is busted. I'd get heart attack whenever I see a speeding car on my tail. I avoid driving at late night like a plague. So physically and mentally, ya... I changed....

But that not the question you're really asking right. The change you're asking is does death change my perceptive on life? I'll be honest, my answer is a NO. How I live my life is no different than I was before the accident. Some minor changes here and there but no major change. Life goes on.

One minor thing that changed is my perceptive of my existence. I believe that everyone exists for a reason in this world/universe/watever, good or bad. I could have easily kick the bucket but I didn't. This lead me into believing I still exists and can b*tch bout this in this blog because I have a reason to exist, it's just not my time to realized my reason yet.

And I'm also eligible to use cool phrase "I even cheated death once, so what else in life I can't overcome?"

WOW... 喫煙ホット!!!

This is no better time for me to dedicate tis song to Kanna-chan...

I knew I loved you - Salvage Garden

Maybe its intuition
Some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes
I see my future in an instant
And there it goes
I think I've found my best friend
I know that it might sound more than
A little crazy but I believe

I knew I loved you, before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you, before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only this sense of completion
And in your eyes
I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for
I think I found my way home
I know that it might sound more than
A little crazy but I believe...

I knew I loved you, before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you, before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

(A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I found you)

(I knew I loved you, before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you, before I met you
I have been waiting all my life) ~ 2X

Football 101: Recipe for success... 80 Million Pound

Dear bloggie,

Before I start my rant, I would like to acknowledge I'm a hypocrite... So with that outta my chest...

WTF!? 80 million pounds.... Wat has football degenerated into? So many people in our world dying due to starvation, getting no education due to poverty, slaving for a daily meal, etc... And 80 million pounds like tat *snap*... And some people even support Real Madrid actions. Really sickening... People say our world have problem with lack of resources, I say we have BIG f8cked up problem with resource allocation instead.

I hope Real performs badly next season and goes into bankruptcy. Maybe then, these nutcases (Ya, sori MFR... Ur Chelsea dumb@$$ owner also fall into this category) that think they can buy success will think twice before slashing out their cheque for tis kind crap...

To the moon & back

Dear bloggie,

Roxor... Especially the guitar rift...

To The Moon & Back - Salvage Garden

Shes taking her time making up
The reasons
To justify all the hurt inside
Guess she knows from the smile
And the look in their eyes
Everyones got a theory about the
Bitter one
Theyre saying mamma never loved
Her much
And daddy never keeps in touch
Thats why she shies away from
Human affection
But somewhere in a private place
She packs her bags for outer space
And now shes waiting for the right
Kind of pilot to come
And shell say to him
Shes saying

I would fly to the moon and back if
Youll be
If youll be my baby
Got a ticket for a world where we
Belong
So would you be my baby

She cant remember a time when she
Felt needed
If love was red then she was colour
Blind
All her friends theyve been tried for
Treason
And crimes that were never defined
Shes saying love is like a barren
Place
And reaching out for human faith is
Is like a journey I just dont have a
Map for
So babys gonna take a dive and
Push the shift to overdrive
Send a signal that shes hanging
All her hopes on the stars
What a pleasant dream
Just saying

I would fly to the moon and back if
Youll be
If youll be my baby
Got a ticket for a world where we
Belong
So would you be my baby

Hold on hold on

Mamma never loved her much
And daddy never keeps in touch
Thats why she shies away from
Human affection
But somewhere in a private place
She packs her bags for outer space
And now shes waiting for the right
Kind of pilot to come
And shell say to him

English Pass Mandatory

Dear bloggie,

I'm unable to comprehend the fuss on this issue. Our education system have long been a subject of my mockery (especially since I dun excel in that system), but when they mean pass here WTF they mean? C? C+? C-? P7? P8? P8+? I'm one of those people whom didn't get "Credit" in my BM for my SPM hence my more sarcastic nature towards things like this. First of all, we should evaluate wtf is being teach in English now days before making such decision. My time, in BM we learn things like syair, sajak, pantun and all kind of bombastic BM words that I doubt I'd ever used since I ended SPM. Hence my attitude of "Why do I even need to get credit in BM?". I mean, all the exam papers done are in BM cept English, if I'm so retarded in BM till can't get credit... Why can I still pass (heck score in some) still? If a physics teacher is able to comprehend my essay written in BM on how gravity works on something been thrown off the roof, am I still considered a retard in BM? Or do I need to write that essay in syair form to proved my skill in BM? Then I concede I fail la...

Personally I agree English should be regarded as an important subject, but I'm just pessimistic on making English Pass mandatory since I understand the idea is good, but implementation by our govt is usually a f8ckin funny jokes most of the times. Don't believe me? Take a look at our National Service... Good Idea, Bad implementation. Look at the problem it caused that solved. Dare anyone say our youths are much better morally that before this crap was implemented? All I see is "most" of our youths getting drag 1-2 years to graduate.

Now we are even having a dial up contest to decided should English be make "Mandatory Pass". What is tis? Malaysia Idol ar? While they are at it why don't they include vote "VOTE ENG MANDA to XXX" too. Getting public opinion is important but shouldn't these people be the one doing the R&D on the pros and cons themselves? Or is tis another "please the public" farce?

I'm quite happy I outta the limbo, as the education minister keeps changing their feed so many times... As if changing things will yield result next year. Malay to English, Subject Cap, A+- grading system, etc... Wat a mess...

Okuribito Review

Dear bloggie,

Just watched Okuributo. I am quite speechless on how to describe this movie. Indeed worthy of the title best foreign film in the Academy.

The movie entails the story of the transition & journey of Dai from a man that is chasing a wild dream to be cello player that probably isn't his real dream to a man that dedicate everything his has, on his craft... The Art of Noh Kan...

The movie opens by embedding a mystic feel as Dai and his mentor travelling in a car (those coffin car) in the misty road. The movie then kicks off with a quite hilarious scene which roughly gives the viewers a rough idea of the tasks faced by an noh kan.

Some encoffining scene in the movie really has something special that I don't think words can describe. My favourite was the noh kan performed by Dai's mentor for a the wife of an angry man. The man was angry as Dai and his mentor were 5 minutes late for the ceremony. As Dai's mentor performs his craft, I was transfixed and watch in awe as the simple motions such as folding the blanket, positioning the hand of the dead, cleaning the body of the dead & putting makeup for the dead is can be so elegant, calming, artistic and spiritual at the same time. I also applaud their choice to opt for dead silence for most of this scene, which really allows us to focus on the visual which is really breathtaking... You can really feel the sorrow of losing the ones you love to death.

Music also play quite an important role in the movie as the Cello represents Dai connection to his past and his parents. The cello piece played by Dai really adds the calming feel to the movie. The best memorable scene is where Dai plays his cello outside his house with the beautiful mountains background, even after everyone close (wife & friends) to Dai shuns him for his choice of career, you can feel a man that is at peace with himself and everything around him.

Great acting and direction through the movie, kudos to all the actors. Also inserts some humane values such as forgiveness, acceptance that death is just another stage in life, doing what you love todo without regards of how other view you, etc...

Final Verdict: A great movie that tells us sometimes even simple jobs that is shun by the society plays an important role in our society. A recommended watch!

I end tis blog entry with a quote I find interesting from the movie...

"The living eat the living to live. Right? These plants are an exception. You'll have to eat if you don't want to die. If you're going to eat, might as well taste good."

Terminator: Salvation Review

Dear bloggie,

I wanted to blog on this last week, but I almost got terminated. So since it been 1 week already, and I ain't puking blood from any part of my body... Here it comes...

Cheng, cheng, cheng... "Terminator: Salvation Review"

Simple plain english with no machine code, doesn't deserve salvation. You see Terminator story resolves around machines, and through the whole movie, I indeed feel like I'm watching a machine. Sure, the CGI is cutting edge, blablabla, etc but where the f8ck is the human elements!? The whole bloody plotline was so bloody predictable if you could actually comprehend the confusing storyline to begin with. The main plot resolve on the theme of salvation which comes in the form a dude (God knows wtf his name is de) that decided to sell his body part for a human research for the better of mankind (Yea, right. Didn't these ppl seen enuff Hollywood movies to know this is a bad guy line?) to redeem himself for his crime for killing dunno who la. Hence he ended up as a half man, half machine and interwoven into John Connor's struggle to take down Skype Skynet. Then taking a book out from the Matrix, Machine actually very yam sap one, actually the 1/2 man 1/2 machine is a spy to backstab Connor. Then come the crux of the movie, when the 1/2 man 1/2 machine opts to betray the machine to aid Connor. Tis scene is supposed to be the core of the entire movie, a man more machine than human, why would he choose to betray his own kind to aid humanity? I failed to see the angst in the 1/2 man 1/2 machine being torn between 2 things he is, yet fully isn't. Instead the choice of him betraying the machine was clear from the start, just a matter of his human side overriding his machine control. I was expecting much much more than this "Just Do It" scene...

Yet again, I doubt even a strong performance at this part could salvage this movie. Then we got a short cameo of Arnold naked again, then the 1/2 man 1/2 machine donates his heart to John Connor to redeem himself and salvage humanity. Wow! Wat a way to end this movie... Nail to the coffin...

Final Verdict: If I had to pick between re watching either the ancient T2 and this, I would hands down choose T2.

The Next Frontier

Dear bloggie,

Next run I decided to join, Shah Alam Adidas King Of The Road 2009. With qualify time of 50 minutes for the 10K category, my goal is shave of 15 minutes of my time (71.5 mins for 11K, means average 6.5 mins perkm meaning 65 mins for 10K, hence need shave off 15 mins to qualify).

Bakau@New Balance Setia Alam 11K

Dear bloggie,

Finally, managed to timed my run. Clocked 1:11:35 on the 11K run & was No. 134 outta dunno how many runners. Forgot to do the godlike rocker pose at the finish line, Syit!!! Will probably have a pix of me 1/2 dead crossing the finish line instead.

Saw Jilong (Run 11K) again at the starting line, then after the race saw Lin Chong (Run 1/2 Marathon). Alot of chicks running was horny, arousing, wet and sweaty... damn sexy la, the vest loose loose, white color somemore... When sweat practically become transparent... But atlast, all also wear sport bra, so nothing to see... Uh, balik rumah tutup gerai lor...

I think I started of quite well for the first 5K, I guess I hit the 5K mark in under 30 min by tailing behind an uncle. Then around 8K, my stamina went to holland. Breathing problem, very ravaged, hard to run. End up, walking for around 10-15 minutes, really affected my time. Lost the uncle here, so change tail a kwai lou and his son instead. Lost them around at the final 1-2K, breathing really susah. Last 1K tail another runner, Indian uncle. Managed to maintain his pace (steady joggin pace) to the end, finish just behind him. Forgot I wanted todo the Rocker pose at finish line, the camera person already snap my photo... Zzz... Overall, several hilly part of the route (especially the flyovers) caught me by surprise. Didn't train hill for quite some time, so very challenging. Maintain same strategy for hill, small steps at higher turnover. Running downhill meanwhile, run slowly, try to reduce the braking effect so leg dun take too much damage. Too bad, no chase butt tis time coz focus on clocking a good finish, just zoom pass a few chicks... Abit regret now...

Mix reaction on my timing, part of me happy coz I managed to clock 1:11:35 but another disappointed coz failed to even clock 1 hour. Yea, also know I finish No.134 in the 11K, no bad for an old timer noes? Dunno how many 11K runner but my bib no. was 365, so at least got 365 or more runners, should be average la.

Finally, a pix of me putting out some gas on my achievement to end tis blog entry....LOL

3, 2, 1... Run Off...

Dear bloggie,

With just 6 hours 10 minutes to go... I can already feel the excitement of running my 3rd run in the air right now.

Collected my vest and bib this yesterday afternoon, the vest and bib definitely better quality. The vest design quite nice, main color white with some red and black complement color but the giant New Balance logo in front abit too big for my liking.

My goal, finish the 11K race within the qualifying time for the medal (ie: 1 hour 45 minutes). I estimate I should be able to complete the race in 1 hour 20 minutes mark based on the timing from Friday's run.

Anyway, just can't wait to hit the road....

Losing another thing...

Dear bloggie,

I keep losing things lately...

My financial stability is now unstable, but odd is how I come to accept it. As if I feel happy I can end this particular project. A year handling this project, from a simple straight forward web application to the monster it has grown to now, that even it's programmer find hard to love.

A part of me actually felt relieve I can let go of this project (actually, forced to let go but watever), coz I didn't plan for this part time freelance project to expand to tis magnitude. Sure the moolah is nice, but the complexity also multiply several folds... sms, 3rd party pos, new bonuses and the f*ckin payment gateway...

With the end of this project, it maybe time for me to hit the slave market again...

Anyway, on happier note to things, been invited to be "heng tai" to an old college fren wedding. My gang of college mates already set tis Fri go Nilai for bachelor party and stay overnite there, then next day laid siege on bride's house & then wedding dinner... I have mixed emotions whether or not I wan to experience being a "heng tai" or not. Sure kena buli teruk by the bride "chee mui" one but apart of me wants to experience tis. Plus part of me is still afraid of hitting the road again (Panic when see car speeding from behind) and there's the 11K run tis Sunday. Am I even fit to run? Which should I go, and which should I skip?

Bolehland

Dear bloggie,

I am left in utter disgust at our "Bolehland". Yesterday while making the police report, I was informed that I might be "saman" for damaging the divider at Kesas toll.

Wow!!!

To think I have lost my car, wallet and nearly my life... Now I may have to pay saman somemore...

Then when they ask for information bout who ram me, I told them I not sure... They straight tutup case. No ask like anything u might remember bout the culprit car, maybe small car, big car, remember car color atleast, etc... Takada... (I know I can't remember any of those information cept the culprit car bumper was big and white, but for them to skip all this questions...) I describe the car accident briefly onli, they dun even ask me to elaborate. From their attitude, I feel more like a someone who came to report crashing his car due to his own fault rather than a victim of a hit and run crime.

If this is the manner of how they do their follow up investigation, I HIGHLY doubt the culprit will be caught. Also when they asked me to verify my report and I added they left out my friend was also in the car, they asked me to give my friend details so I phone my friend for his IC and etc, but the police asked me if he was injured, I say no, they say then no need add into report. I was like WTF!? Witness also no need put if not injured? Accident injury is very hard to predict one, how u know he outside no injured but internally injured, and a few days later onli problem appear? Then wat? Onli you will put in ur report ar?

Then they were not willing to release report until they see the car. My toll trucker guys somemore on accident want fast fast sign then after work slow slow type (If u happen to have accident, get a toll trucker that u know, alot of conman out there). My friend told me Kesas people also got take photo of my car after accident. I was wondering what kinda database system the police have one? I'm quite sure Kesas people got make police report also one. Can't perform search cross reference from other reports?

Malaysia Boleh la...

~Oh Life...

Dear bloggie,

Life - Des'ree

Ooh, Yeah
Oh yeah
Oh Life
Oh Life

I'm afraid of the dark
Especially when I'm in a park
When there's no one else around
Oh I get the shivers
I don't wanna see a ghost
It's the sight that I fear most
I'd rather have a piece of toast
Watch the evening news

Life, oh life
Oh life, oh life
Life, oh life
Oh life, oh life

I'm a superstitious girl
I'm the worst in the world
Never walk under ladders
I keep a rabbits' tail
I'll take you up on a dare
Anytime, anywhere
Name the place, I'll be there
Bungee jumping, I don't care

Life, oh life
Oh life, oh life
Life, oh life
Oh life, oh life

Life So after all's said and done
I know I'm not the only one
Life indeed can be fun If you really want to
Sometimes living out your dreams
Ain't as easy as it seems
You wanna fly around the world In a beautiful balloon

Life, oh life
